As the PSA World Championships are starting in Chicago tomorrow, 8 Harvard players are gearing up for the top event of the year.
On the men’s side, Ali Farag ’14 is seeded #4 and is looking to upset the seedings to win his fourth world title. Victor Crouin ’22 has had a remarkable year after graduating and is seeded #8 after breaking into the top 10 earlier this season. Unseeded Timmy Brownell ’20 has also been on an upward trajectory and climbed the world rankings to a career-high of #45 in April.

In the women’s draw, #5 Amanda Sobhy ’15 is looking to win her first world title after reaching the semifinal as the first American-born player in 2022. Both #10 Gina Kennedy ’20 and #16 Sabrina Sobhy ’19 are seeded to make the round of 16 while Hana Moataz ’22 and Marina Stefanoni ’24 are unseeded but have exciting match-ups in the opening round. Moataz reached her career-high ranking of #35 last month.
