Men & Women Win Ivy Scrimmages

Both of our teams had a solid start to the fall as they won the Ivy Scrimmages this past weekend.

The women beat Brown (9-0) and Penn (8-1) before winning against Princeton (7-2) in the final. Meanwhile, the men beat Brown (9-0) and Yale (7-2) before clinching the final against Penn (5-4).

While the matches were unofficial, the weekend was a good test for the teams and both squads came through despite missing a few injured top 9 players on each side. It was also great to see many of you at Yale this past weekend. Thank you again for all the support.

The men will play their first official matches against a few local teams in November (Northeastern, Tufts and MIT). Our women’s first official match is Dartmouth on December 5th. Check out GoCrimson.com for the full men’s and women’s schedules.

Also, please be on the lookout for an e-mail about a pub night with the coaches on Friday (Nov 16th, 6-8pm) in Harvard Square. If you’re in town for the Harvard-Yale football game, please stop by to say hi to the coaches and Friends the night before.
