Friends Events in New York and Rye & Tournament of Champions
The teams and coaches really enjoyed meeting everyone who came to our Friends events at the Apawamis Club and Harvard Club of New York last week. We were lucky to have Ali Farag ’14, Amanda Sobhy ’15 and Haley Mendez ’15 along with many alumni join us for a memorable evening in New York. We’ve uploaded a few pictures to our Instagram page from both events.
After the reception, Ali, Amanda and Haley together with Sabrina Sobhy ’19 competed in the Tournament of Champions. Haley reached the final qualifying round and Sabrina made it to the 1st round of the main draw. Meanwhile, it was great to see Amanda make her comeback after rupturing her Achilles 10 months ago and reach the 2nd round of the main draw.
Ali is still in the tournament and playing later tonight (Wednesday) at 9pm EST against Tarek Momen in the semifinal. You can watch the match live on SquashTV.
