Men Capture Second Consecutive National Championship

Our #1 ranked men’s team beat #3 Penn in yesterday’s Potter Cup final and won the national championship for the second year in a row.

It’s the 27th Potter Cup in program history. As the men didn’t lose a team match this season for a second consecutive year, it’s the first back-to-back undefeated season stretch since 1995-1997. The team lost only 5 individual matches this year.

The coaches are proud of the team and how the players remained focused throughout the long season. Whoever they played this year, the squad approached every match with respect and a matter-of-fact mentality. While it can be challenging to stay on track as the #1 ranked team, our athletes showed maturity and determination in how they handled the road to this year’s championship.

The season concludes this coming weekend with the Individual National Championships in Philadelphia. Both Gina Kennedy ’20 and Victor Crouin ’22 are defending champions.

The draws will come out later this week and will be posted on the CSA website.
