Hope Prockop ’90 and Jay Nelson ’62 won age division titles at the U.S. National Championships this past weekend. Prockop won the W45+ bracket while Nelson took the M75+ title. In addition, Harvard Club of New York’s Head Pro, Richard Chin, was crowned the M45+ champion.
Chip Robie ’82 made it all the way to the consolation final in the M55+ division after losing in the second round of the main draw. CJ Taylor ’88 lost in the first round of the M50+ draw. Ed Burlingame ’57 finished third in the M80+ division.
Brownell ’20 Reaches Quarters of Men’s Championship
Meanwhile, freshman Timmy Brownell ’20 advanced to the quarterfinals of the S.L. Green U.S. Men’s Championship on Thursday by beating former world #48, Gilly Lane, in the first round 3-2. Brownell ended up losing against Chris Hanson (PSA #78) in the quarterfinal. Hanson went on to win the national title.
