Women Beat #1 Princeton – Men Survive Nail Biter vs. Penn

Our #2 women’s team will reclaim the #1 position after beating #1 Princeton and #7 Penn this past weekend, both 8-1. The #3 men’s team took a convincing 9-0 win against #7 Princeton on Saturday and clinched an important 5-4 win against #6 Penn on Sunday.

Successful Weekend Against Rochester, Drexel and Trinity

Our #2 women’s team remained undefeated by beating #3 Trinity last night 8-1 and #9 Drexel 9-0 on Sunday. Meanwhile, our #3 men’s team didn’t lose a single match against #8 Rochester and #12 Drexel this past weekend.

Women Remain Undefeated – Men Lose 5-4 Against Columbia

Our #1 women’s team continued their undefeated season after 9-0 wins against #21 St. Lawrence, #8 Cornell and #7 Columbia this past weekend. Meanwhile, our #2 men’s team beat both #3 St. Lawrence and #15 Cornell 9-0 but suffered a close 5-4 loss against #4 Columbia on Sunday.

Wins Against Dartmouth and MIT & Happy Holidays!

Both Harvard teams started their seasons with clear victories over Dartmouth on Wednesday. The men’s team didn’t lose a match while the women’s team won 8-1.

A day later, our men’s team beat MIT – coached by former world #1 Thierry Lincou and our own Amanda Sobhy ’15.

Friends of Harvard Squash Preseason Newsletter

The college squash season is here!

Both Harvard teams travel to Dartmouth tomorrow (Wednesday) to kick off Ivy League play and the men’s team faces MIT on Thursday at home. The MIT match will be streamed on the Ivy League Network.

Women Win Ivy Scrimmages, Men’s Team Finishes 2nd

The Ivies traveled to New Haven for the first weekend in November to kick off the season at the annual Ivy Scrimmages . While our women’s team won their draw, our men’s team lost a close final against Columbia.

Harvard Squash represented at the World Doubles in St. Louis

Doug Lifford ’89 dominated the M50+ age division and won the world title, while current Harvard team members and alumni competed in the professional draws of the World Doubles Championships in St. Louis at the end of September.

Desaulniers & Heckscher to be inducted into the US Squash Hall of Fame

Michael Desaulniers ’80 and Ben Heckscher ’57 have been chosen for the highest honor in US squash as they will be inducted to the US Squash Hall of Fame this year. The Class of 2017 also includes Ben’s younger brother, Maurice Heckscher.
